2018’s METAL is an integral part of 73rd World Foundry Congress in Cracow. The Congress participants will take part in the off-site session and visit the METAL, ALUMINUM & NonFermet, Recycling expos as well as the début Heat Treatment exhibition.
The METAL expo is one of the world’s leading in addition to being Central and Eastern Europe’s largest foundry and metal business-sector event. For years METAL has brought together participants from around the world – a large group of exhibitors that offer the latest technologies and a whole array of exhibitors.
Last year’s expo used nearly 9,000 square meters of the exhibition space. The expo was the showcase for 271 exhibitors and co-exhibitors from 27 countries such as: Austria, Belarus, Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Spain, the Netherlands, India, Canada, Korea, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Germany, Norway, Hungary, Slovenia, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, USA, United Kingdom Italy. Nearly 40 percent of products offered at the trade show were put on display by foreign companies; for years the exhibitors from Germany and Italy have been the dominant exhibitors group. The word-of-mouth opinion is the best recommendation for all kinds of events. “I have taken part in METAL since its 21 edition. This expo is a benchmark and reference point for Central Europe,”said Maurizio Sala, President of the Italian Foundry Suppliers’ Association AMAFOND at the opening ceremony.
METAL is a Mecca when it comes to this type of event. This is the place to meet all industry companies.
The METAL expo attracts almost 3,000 visitors; professionals, representatives of various industries and business-sectors such as foundry, machine and electro-mechanical, rail, shipbuilding, armaments, robotics and automation, automotive and aerospace. The latter owing to the Aviation Valley proximity guarantees visitors who are into the foundry business and aviation context.
What is extremely important for the business-focused expo organization is the professional support of our partners, including the Technical Association of Polish Foundrymen and the Foundry Research Institute from Krakow. We are also supported by the Foundry Chamber of Commerce in Krakow, Silesian University of Technology, and the AGH University of Science and Technology, as well as business-insiders publications and portals from home and abroad.
“We are truly grateful – our joint efforts comprehensively promote Polish foundry development,” said Andrzej Mochoń PhD, President of Board at Targi Kielce. “METAL is strongly supported with the involvement and initiatives of the METAL Expo Council and the Expo Science and Industry Council.”
