Whether it’s built into agricultural machinery, power poles or equipment destined for Saskatchewan’s potash and uranium mines, Brad DeCorby and his business partner Curtis Boulanger are used to seeing their steel manufacturing company’s work in public.
But the partners behind Saskatoon-based Metal Connection know their contribution to the new $40-million Traffic Bridge is different, mostly because it will become part of a local landmark expected to define the downtown core for decades to come.
“It’s exciting,” DeCorby said. “Curtis has lived here his whole life, I’ve lived here my whole adult life, and here’s a piece of history in Saskatoon that we get to be a part of — we’re going to be able to look at this bridge for the rest of our lives.”
